Kinloch

A wild landscape, yours to roam

Kinloch is surrounded by forests, rivers, lochs and mountains. You can plunge into cold waters, fish rivers, walk mountainsides and roam as far as the eye can see. We can plan tailored experiences for you and your group, or you can see which bit of nature calls you when you arrive. It’s all there for the taking.

The call of the wild

Nothing is more restorative than true connection to nature. Cold water swim; or forest bathe. Walk mountains, or run meadows. Then wind down with a view of it all, at yoga sessions in our home studio. Get in touch before your visit, and we’ll create a bespoke itinerary together.

Reconnect with nature, at its wildest

Dip and decompress

Find the hot sauna yurt and cool plunge pool we’ve set in a secret spot. Take an icy dip surrounded by bracken, overlooking the River Kinloch - then revive in the heat. It’s a tonic for the body and the soul.

  • Country pursuits

At Kinloch, we’re set up for all traditional country pursuits. We’ll arrange outings for experienced sportspeople and first-timers, helping you and your group make the most of everything the estate has to offer.

  • Fly-fishing in the hills

    Fly-fishing in the hills

The hill lochs of Sutherland are wonderful waters to fish with an abundance of trout opening the experience to both first-timers and veterans. We’ll head out by Argocat with rods and a fisherman’s picnic for a fun - and lightly competitive - day on the water.
  • Munro bagging

    Munro bagging

Ben Loyal is Scotland’s most northerly ‘Munro’ – a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3,000 feet. A climb to its peak is to ‘bag it’. From April to October, the challenge is yours - accompanied by our expert guide, fuelled by a mountain picnic and rewarded with a view you’ll remember forever.
  • Lunch at the bothy

    Lunch at the bothy

Up in the hills is a remote hideaway: a rustic bothy, where you can take shelter and comfort after a restorative hike and have a truly superb dining experience. Relax by the open fire, and take in dramatic vistas of nature running wild.
